Hello and Welcome to Campbelltown TAFE.
I am Elizabeth Johnson, but you can call me LiZzY if you like. As you can see from the pictures above, there have been some amazing students that have started out right where you are now and have gone on to great places since. Some are now working in Management, Welfare, Hospitality, Child Studies and some are even working right here with us at TAFE as teachers themselves. Some of our most recent students are still furthering their studies and may come in to share the news of their progress from time to time as they have done in past classes.
Most of our students start out as strangers, a little unsure of what to expect but hopeful and willing to have a go and by the end of the term they end up as good friends with a history of small victories and a bright new outlook for the future.
I have had the privilege of being asked to help you learn some of the skills needed to succeed in the competitive job market of today. These are the units I will be delivering:
NSWTHMN201B Identify own role as a member of a community
NSWTHMN202B Plan to participate in a local community
ICAU1128B Operate a personal computer
ICAU1129B Operate a word processing program
ICAU1133B Send & retrieve information using web browser & email
We will meet every morning from 9:30am to 11:30am in room L.1.5
and every afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 in room E.G.4
If, for some reason you are not able to attend a class, please phone me, or (preferably) send me a text message on 0431745270 stating your name and the reason you are unable to attend and I will be able to mark the roll as ‘Notified Absence’ and can arrange to have you brought up to date in following classes. I tend to keep my phone on ‘silent’ during class hours, but always check my messages directly afterwards.
